The 22 SM9 wedges from Titleist are available with a total of six different sole grinds. They have all been meticulously developed over the years for maximum creativity, versatility and consistency. The chrome finish has a classic matte look. Glare effects are minimised so that you can concentrate fully on the ball and alignment. Tour-proven grinds The wedges offer a grind that perfectly matches your swing for every shot, every surface and every course. The right wedge for your swing and playing conditions will give you the best interaction with the surface, the best contact and the best shot performance. Accurate distance and trajectory control The SM9 wedges combine the best of both worlds and take you to completely new heights by shifting the centre of gravity further and further forward depending on the loft. This optimises ball flight, accuracy and forgiveness. Tapered toplines and varying trouser lengths shift the centre of gravity upwards with larger lofts, resulting in a lower, more controlled ball flight. Placement far forward results in a greater moment of inertia, exceptional feel and a clubface that attacks at impact. Maximum spin The new grooves of the SM9 wedges extend to the edges to maximise spin. Each loft has its own grooves: lower lofts have tight, deep grooves, the higher ones wider and shallower. There are also micro-grooves that increase the spin on some shots. The quality and performance of each wedge is checked and heat is applied to the clubface to increase the durability of the grooves. Without compromising feel, of course. F grind The F grind is a universal grind that is particularly suitable for full strokes and those with a straight clubface. It is ideal for players who prefer a traditional wedge sole. M grind The M grind is suitable for players who open or close the clubface and is good for shots around the green. Ideal for players with a flatter, more sweeping swing who hit shots with different clubface positions. S grind The S grind has a narrower sole for a faster feel on the turf. This grind is ideal for neutral to harder conditions and for players who like to control the loft with their hands in front of or behind the ball. D Blade The D grind combines versatility with forgiveness from the big bounce. This grind is ideal for players who have a steeper angle of attack and hit from different clubface positions. K grind The K cut is found on the wedge with the highest bounce in the range and is the ultimate bunker club. The wide sole with more bend offers great forgiveness from a variety of surfaces. L grind The L grind has the lowest bounce in the range. The profile of the heel, toe and centre edge provide great versatility.
